Porn IPSP Types

The porn IPSP (Internet Payment Service Provider) is not a bank. This is a company that has a software that processes the customer’s credit card and puts the money in a merchant account with the merchant bank they work with. Usually the IPSP work with more than 1 bank. As a webmaster there is 2 ways you can use the IPSP:

Type1. Opening your own merchant account with the bank and using the IPSP as a gateway to process credit cards payments to this account.
Type2. Using the IPSP as your complete billing solution (they have their own merchant accounts) by creating an account with them. The IPSP sends you a check/wire on daily, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis, depending on their policy.

Most IPSPs process for mainstream and porn (high risk) sites. There is some that work only as gateways and others that will work only as a third party billing and storing the payment in their own account. Here are some that I have worked with:

Type1: Netbilling.com, authorize.net

Typ2: CCBILL.com, Epoch.com, Zombaio.com, 2000Charge.com, Elecktracash.com(online checks),  iBill.com(out of business)
